These guys never stray far from home, carrying their 'chosen' house around with them wherever they go! This gives them the benefit of being able to retreat back into their shell if they feel frightened or scared. But if you wait a few minutes, they’ll poke their heads back out and carry on scuttling around. These crustaceans have to find larger shells as they grow bigger and bigger so you’ll often find them exploring their surroundings searching for the perfect shell. They are very picky over which shell to make their home in!
